Hi there,

I”m sure most of you moms who shop at Lands End have seen the big 30% off plus free shipping promotion they are running the next few days. Right now Lands End is offering double e-boxtops on all purchases through the Box top site, so please remember to browse through the Box Tops website. There are many other stores participating as well. This year has been our best year yet. So keep up the good work! I will also continue to collect your tops as you send them in with your kids. Thanks for all your help. Gentry Rench

Ahoy all you box top clippers,

The March 1st deadline is coming on fast. I would like to ask you all to get your tops into school by tomorrow, February 29th to be included in this submission. Thanks for all your diligence in this. We are making great progress! Thanks again, Gentry Rench

Hi all,

John Carnahan is looking for a Logos Mom (and a kid or two!) to work concessions for the final game of the tournament this Saturday night.  You’d be on the job from 6:45 to about 8:30.  Usually this is covered by the players’ parents, but as you can imagine, they all want to be free just to watch and cheer for this last game of the season.  Please leave a comment if you’d like to help out and I will get you in touch with John.

This is a fun job, and the kids in particular seem to really like doing it :)

Go Knights!

Hi All,
I wanted to make sure you all had a chance to RSVP to the Logos Auction, which will be held Friday, February 3rd.
Logos Moms have been hard at work to make this a super FUN evening for all!
Come bid on great SILENT AUCTION packages for every budget!
Be entertained by professional auctioneer during the LIVE AUCTION–packages to please an array of interests!  All proceeds go towards the school budget, which directly funds our tuition discounts – a great cause, wouldn’t you say?

Please  RSVP to: development@logosschool.com (Gwen Spencer).
Hello Ladies,
Here’s your first opportunity of the new year to support our teachers!  We like to provide lunch for the elementary teachers at their first Monday meeting of the month.  The teachers love this–it’s a nice break from eating pb&js in the lunchroom!  Thanks to Jenny Story, Paula Casebolt, Amy James, Mackenzie Miller, Lisa Postell, and Ginger Elmore for bringing lunches during the fall semester!  If you’d like to help out this semester, here are the details:
Deliver lunch (anything works–sandwiches, soup, lasagna, salads, even picking up a pizza!) for 16 to the sixth grade classroom at 11:45 and then return to clean it up about a half hour later on the following Mondays:
January 9th
February 6th
March 5th
April 2nd
May 7th
Just send me an email if you want to help out–I usually pair you up with a partner and then I’ll send out a group email with more details.
Thanks so much!
Kelly Driskill

Hi there all you Christmas shoppers!

This is just a friendly reminder to do all your online shopping through the Box Tops website if you want to see Logos get a percentage of the profits from all your Christmas fun. Most of the major stores that we all shop in participate so please go through the Box Tops website before you do your online checking out. Also, going through the Box Tops website will not affect your free shipping or promo codes, so don’t let that deter you. And, keep clipping those tops, February’s deadline will sneak up on us. Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!

Gentry Rench

Dear Logos Moms,

Thank you so much to all the moms who have generously offered to bring cookies or fruit.  We could still use some more of each, if you would like to help out.  I would welcome anyone that would like to help with the set up. I will be there in the afternoon 4:30-5:30pm and again at 6:30pm in the gym.  For those who are bringing cookies or fruit, you can just drop off your food at the back of the gym when you bring your children to the concert (or at any of the times already mentioned).  I will have some decorative plates and trays on hand if you want to just put your food in something easier to transport.  If you can help with set up or cookies or fruit and haven’t let me know, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks to everyone; I am looking forward to a great night full of merry song.

Hi Moms,

Thank you all for your generous support all year long!  We have officially surpassed our fundraising goal for this year!  Any cash gifts after today will go towards finishing off the giving tree and the rest will go in the pot for next year.  Thank you!!!

Tomorrow, the Christmas Giving Tree gifts are due!  Please have them wrapped, with the tag securely attached, and left under the Giving Tree.  We will be passing those out to the teachers on Friday at lunch.

If you would like to give a little something to your individual teachers, you are welcome to click the link above to get some gift ideas.  There will be no organized group gift from the class, so you are welcome to give as you please.

We will be presenting the cash gifts to the teachers and staff after the Christmas Program on Thursday night.  Thanks again for all your help!  Have a very Merry Christmas!

Dear Logos Moms,

As usual, we are planning to offer refreshments at the Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 15th. We are looking for some families that would be willing to contribute cookies or fruit plates. Hot coffee, cider, and water will be  provided. If you would like to bring something or have any special ideas regarding the refreshments, please contact Gretchen Bowman at gbowman@moscow.com.

Your help is greatly appreciated at this busy time of year.

Thank you !
Sincerely, Gretchen Bowman

Hi ladies,

We are so grateful to all of you moms who have been at the ready all year to pitch in and help whenever you are needed.  It has been a good year!

As we are nearing Christmas break, we have two things we would like to accomplish, with your help.  First is the Giving Tree.  Charlene Rathbun is setting up a Giving Tree in the Logos Auditorium for the elementary teachers’ classroom needs.  As you may know, many of the supplies the teachers use in their classrooms are often paid for by the teacher, and we would like to help fill in as many of those needs as we can.  Each teacher has contributed 3 or 4 tags each, with items ranging from staplers to flashcards to students’ reading material.  If you would like to help with this, just grab a tag, and return it attached to the wrapped gift by noon, Wednesday, December 14th.  The tree should be ready this Friday afternoon.  We are still getting all the requests back from the teachers, so check back throughout next week.

Secondly, we have wrapped up the fundraising for our Teacher/Staff Christmas Bonuses this year, and we have a grand total of over $5800!  This fund benefits all the teachers and staff working at Logos, from music to art to administration to janitorial staff.  Last year, our final total was over $9000, and this year we have more teachers than ever.  So if you are still interested in contributing to this fund, you may leave a check in the Logos Moms box in the office, made out to ‘Logos Moms’, before Wednesday, December 14th.  We will be handing those out at the Christmas Program the following evening.

Again, thank you so much for all the work you have put in this year.  We have been blessed and encouraged by your enthusiasm!

Paula Casebolt, for the Logos Moms Steering Committee
